Send the damage from your driveway. Straight on, then at an angle with a reflection running across the panel — that second shot is the one that tells us how deep it is.
Hudson is fifteen minutes up Highway 35 from our River Falls shop, and it's where a large share of our work comes from — dealership reconditioning, I-94 commuter cars, and the parking-lot dings that come with a downtown everybody wants to park in.
Hudson sits on the wrong side of a very good bridge. Thousands of vehicles run the I-94 corridor into the east metro every morning and back again at night, and that mileage shows up in a specific way: sandblasted lower panels, salt film in the door jambs, and highway rock rash across the hood and mirrors.
The second pattern is parking. Angled downtown stalls, the Lakefront Park lots in summer, and grocery lots year-round produce the single most common repair we do — the door ding. Round, shallow, one panel, factory paint completely intact. That is the textbook paintless dent repair, and it is usually finished the same day you drop it off.
We do reconditioning work for dealerships in and around Hudson, including Luther Hudson Chevrolet GMC and Hudson Chrysler, plus Somerset Auto Sales up Highway 64. Dealer work has no room for "close enough" — a car has to hit the front line looking like it earned its asking price, and it has to get there on schedule.
You get the same standard walking in off the street. Same technician, same tools, same inspection under the same lights. The only difference is that you get to ask questions first.
Ceramic coating gets sold as shine. In western Wisconsin the actual argument is chemistry: a coated panel gives brine and road film far less to grab onto, so a winter wash actually removes the winter instead of smearing it around.
If your car spends five days a week on I-94 between November and March, the honest sequence is decontamination and correction first, then coating. Sealing a panel over embedded road grime locks the problem in. We will tell you which step your paint actually needs.
You should never guess at a repair price, and you should never make the fifteen-minute drive to find out we can't help. Three steps, no games.

We come back with the price, the method, and the turnaround before you leave Hudson. If paintless isn't the right path, we tell you that instead of selling you something.
Most single-panel work is finished the same day, so the drive happens once. Bigger jobs get a firm pickup time, not a "we'll call you."
Our shop is at 663 Valerie Ave in River Falls, about fifteen minutes south of downtown Hudson on Highway 35. We take work from across the St. Croix Valley and the Twin Cities east metro.
The things Hudson drivers ask before they text us.
Our tools, lighting and lift live at the River Falls shop, and that controlled environment is a real part of why the work comes out right — so most repairs happen here, about fifteen minutes from downtown Hudson. For dealership and multi-vehicle work we make arrangements directly. Text us what you have and we will tell you honestly which makes more sense.
Price depends on four things: the size of the dent, how deep it is, whether the panel has bracing or double-wall structure behind it, and whether the paint is cracked. That is why we quote from photos instead of publishing a number that would be wrong half the time. Send a straight-on shot and an angled shot with a reflection across the panel and you will get a real figure back, usually the same day.
Photograph it in good light before anything else, then contact your insurer to open a claim if you intend to use one. Hail is normally handled under comprehensive coverage rather than collision, and your deductible still applies — but your policy and your adjuster decide that, not us. We are happy to document the damage panel by panel so you are not walking into that conversation empty-handed.
We are the shop several of them send work to. Same technician and the same inspection standard whether the keys come from a dealer or from you.
This one catches Hudson drivers constantly. Wisconsin and Minnesota do not use the same limits, and a legal Wisconsin tint can be a citation on the other side of the bridge. We wrote the whole thing up — read the Wisconsin vs. Minnesota tint guide before you pick a film.
